1% Visible is a blog about the inconspicuous creative choices that inspire our behavior. I give particular attention to creative strategy and the impact of the advertising we see all around us. 

The name 1% Visible is a nod to the brilliant podcast 99% Invisible, which "is about all the thought that goes into the things we don’t think about — the unnoticed architecture and design that shape our world."

This is a blog about how and why the creativity of others inspire us to do things. In each post I begin with the 1%—something I saw that made me want to learn more about the other 99% behind its creation and effects. Then I share a marketing perspective on how creative people put into motion decisions we make in response to their creative work. All kinds of decisions: anything from buying a sneaker to joining a movement to being more creative ourselves. 

We'll learn about ourselves and each other by exploring how our needs, values and struggles are woven into the attempts at persuasion that we interact with on a daily basis.
